Vision - Small is Beautiful

The UK government's strategy for standardisation in healthcare information and systems presents dual challanges to systems manufacturers and suppliers. At the strategic management end of the healthcare sector, a standards driven agenda demands high quality and wide ranging operational data from healthcare service units. This information increasingly requires to conform to emerging international health informatics standards as well as a wide range of technology platforms in it's delivery. At the service provision end, the need to maintain a high level of productivity means that operational systems must deliver administrative efficiencies and not overheads in order to aquire and collate this data from users.

Mericle's product development strategy responds to these challenges by replacing the large scale, monolithic approaches of the nineties with smaller, more interoperable (and therefore more scaleable) solutions which can deliver a high level of sensitivity to complex business processes at the service provision end while supporting strategic management demands for realtime, standardised health records.
